Welcome to Carly’s gallery. I believe that even these few drawings will
give you enough inspiration and encouragement to draw and submit your
own drawings.
Her drawing of Toucan caught my attention the moment I saw it. Excellent
pose and good coloring scheme. Look how nicely she has worked out the
beak of Toucan, the shades and orange color tones. Also, the tiny shiny
spot on Toucan’s eye is a perfect detail to make the eyes look
realistic.
Carly’s idea of a very close detail on “Musician” drawing is very good.
You rarely see a drawing named “musician” rendering only a detail of
musician’s fingers on a guitar neck. I like this cool idea.
“Peaceful Waters” drawing of a small boat parked…it may look to many of us just sad or lonely…or peaceful perhaps?
I personally like if the drawing or painting has some colors because
colors have a tremendous psychological influence on us. Colors can heal
or can make you feel physically ill.
Dreamy colors of clouds on Lighthouse drawing are very nicely shaped.
Flying birds are adding a great accent to the entire atmosphere. The
best detail I found on the Lighthouse Shore drawing is the yellow shiny
mist on the top of the tower where the actual light is located.
Look at the palm tree on the beach in Sunset View. Awesome idea of the
palm tree that partially shades the bright sunshine. This allows the
artist not caring so much about the palm tree leaves of green color or
the color of the palm tree trunk itself. These can be just randomly
darkened because the light from the opposite side causes this effect.
Black and white idea of the Calla Lili is very nicely worked out. This
one piece of flower would absolutely look great if made in color.
Interesting point on Koi Fish drawing is in its many curly details. I
like the sepia color of the fish combined with blue colored bubbles.
My first toucan.
This is a drawing of hands holding an acoustic guitar. I used pencil.
I love this picture because it makes me feel like I am in a storybook.
I am 16 years old and I have never taken an actual art class, but drawing is my passion.
This is one of the first drawings in my portfolio. it is Pastel and Charcoal.
I wanted to do a simple, yet meaningful sketch, so i chose the calla lily. I used charcoal and pastel.
My first koi fish.
