Drawing or painting landscapes belongs to a very specific category. This
landscape gallery represents only a tiny fragment, merely a scratch on
the surface. There are artists who specialize only for landscape
paintings/drawings.
When you draw and paint a landscape, you literally have an infinite
number of scenery around you. You can choose any time of the year, any
season, weather condition, simply everything is here.
I personally like scenery with water, rivers, lakes etc. Seaside with
lighthouses are an awesome idea for drawing and painting. Observe these
artworks and get inspired! Please!
I know you can do it, I know you can draw or paint landscapes too. Just
give it a try. Do it in color if possible. Adding color to a landscape
drawing makes it instantly a totally different piece of art.

I tried drawing the sea view with colored pencils but it wasn't good so I added graphite to make shadows and I think it looked better.

I was in Santorini with the hubby last year and stood at this very spot....it was so romantic! As usual though when u get home and back to work you forget....recently i saw a painting of the exact spot where we stood and i was inspired to take up a paintbrush and give it a try.....dont laugh its my very first attempt! LOL

I have drawn one or two decent trees in the past, but I thought that I would try different styles of trees after reading the how to draw a tree. The one on the left is my favorite though. The other two trees I think has too much texture and the branches were not really defined enough.
