Welcome to Maciej Michalak’s personal gallery. Despite the small size of
this collection, the variety of drawings is interestingly wide. I
believe if he could upload a few more drawings, the gallery would grow
and shine as one of the most interesting one.
I like the simplicity of Maciej’s pencil drawings; portrait of his ex,
his niece or countryside. This is a great example that even seemingly
simple pencil drawings have quite a power to convey the hearty message.
Maciej’s drawings do not pretend to be professional artwork at all, yet
they have a very subtle charm and beauty. I would be happy if his
drawings can inspire you.
To submit your own drawings here, you do not need to be a perfectionist
or professional-like. Absolutely not. On the contrary. Everyone here
very much appreciates the simplicity and sincerity of the drawings from
these brave authors.
I would like to point out his passion for figurative drawing, e.i.
drawing of human figures, which is probably one of the most challenging
category in art, generally.
You may see many drawings, paintings every day. Most of those art works usually do not contain human figures.
The trick is, that if you draw only one single human figure on your
drawing, suddenly the whole picture becomes alive. Many of Maciej
Michalak’s artwork contain human figures and I would like to thank him
for this great effort!
Almost all paintings from old masters contain human figures. Part of the
reason is that they did not have camera for taking pictures at the
time, so the only way was to draw and paint them.

Drawing with colouring pencils is hard, the colour is only good for shading that's why there is not so much of it in art places

My 3Rd sketch of a person, always though drawing hair would be difficult.

The photo that I used had its main focus on the sky/clouds, but in my drawing I could not capture thats so my sea/reflection came out looking better then the sunset sky
