This one's for you Ivan because I'm pretty sure you'll be quite familiar with this magnificent castle. Originally built in 1583 Osaka Castle has seen many wars and pillages. It was burned to the ground in 1615, reconstructed in 1670, fell in 1868 to Imperial Loyalists, was severely attacked during World War II and finally restored by the Osaka government from 1995 - 1997. This drawing represents only a small portion of the castle as the grounds contain 13 structures in total. One of the best known of the many awesome castles in Japan. Decided to show the castle at night surrounded by cherry blossom trees. Hope you enjoy this drawing as much as I enjoyed creating it.
