Let me introduce you to Paul Rowan from Barnsley, UK and his nice drawings and sketches gallery.
Take a good look at all Cartoon Bear Drawings – sketches. These little
cartoon bears are great pictures for studying the process how they were
drawn. I want to thank Paul for leaving guideline pencil strokes there
for us to see how he was creating each of these pictures.
When you are learning how to draw, the thing you want to know the most
is the drawing or sketching process, each step from the very first
pencil stroke. That is the best way you can and will learn.
This is especially important if you are a total beginner. You simply
must see and comprehend the process, each step of the drawing sequence.
Paul has a great sense for drawing and sketching human and animal bodies with very good proportional balance.
Some may say that these nice sketches would look great if completed and
finally colored, which I must agree, but as a pencil sketch, they are
very good material for study.
The idea of a brain monster is super cool and super scary at the same
time. Who knows what would such creature do if it would exist on our
planet…
The shape of the tulip is excellently captured. Shades on the inner parts of the leaves creates a three dimensional impression.
Drawing of a Fat lazy cat is really greatly captured. Simple and
accurate. This is exactly a cat pose when disturbed during the nap.
Scroll down and take a closer look on all Paul Rowan’s sketches and
drawings and study as many details as possible on each one. I say it
again, every sketch or drawing contains at least one detail that you can
study and learn from it.

I was 40 in August this year and had drawn a bit in the past using 'how to draw' books but never had any formal training. I was inspired by what Ivan achieved around my age which has made me even more determined to draw again. This is my first drawing for ages but can't wait now to do some more :-)
A penguin from my sketchbook I wanted to try and draw after watching Happy Feet
Hand drawn and inked then scanned and coloured in photoshop.
