Let me introduce you to Betty Chavis from Rowesville, SC- US. She has
been drawing awesome pencil and pastel drawings and paintings of various
animals. Her artwork is now available in this large gallery.
It is very interesting to see how her drawings and techniques evolved in time and are getting better.
Her Rooster drawing reminds me very much of an old European masters
painting. The calm colors and the rooster’s pose have somehow an old
times impression. Very nice approach.
Pencil drawing of a Leopard, in my opinion, would perfectly suit as an
illustration into children’s book. It has a very gentle pencil touch and
though leopards are big cats and predators, this one looks rather
friendly.
The very same is with the Tiger Cub. I love how Betty worked out the
tiger’s eyes in blue. This idea is just awesome! Besides, the blue eyes
color goes well with tiger’s fur color. A truly perfect color match!
Baby Bunny among the flowers. Very nice combination also would be
suitable for children’s book as an illustration. I would absolutely
recommend this!
I love how she colored all her bird drawings. Betty Chavis’s vivid and
brilliant idea. Very uplifting feeling if you see them. Red Christmas
Bird drawing is just an awesome idea for Christmas decoration.

These are just awesome details. Can you see the gentle contrast? If I
see this color coordination, my eyes are just feel rested and relaxed.
Let’s study these ideas and apply them in our own art work.
You see, we can find many beautiful and unusual details in almost every
single drawing or sketch. Most of us do not even think about creating
anything BIG just for the “being the greatest” sake. It just comes out
naturally if you enthusiastically draw or paint.

I am still trying to improve on drawing portraits, my problem is they don't look like who I am drawing. This one turned out okay, everyone that knows this man and dog, knows who it is, so I must be getting better :)
